Awesome cartridge-- "helpful, but not as useful as I thought! This cartridge is an awesome idea--I love that I can make my own little boxes and bags and whatnot. However, as pointed out by other reviewers, the bags can't be made very large because of the limitations of the machine. I have a Cricut Expressions, and can cut "fit to page" on a 12x12" sheet, but still end up getting bags that are only four or five inches across. The tag shapes are really neat, and they have ones with windows which I imagine you could use to make shakers or something. I've turned some of the long, thin ones into bookmarks that are pretty darned cute. I adore the little flower and heart topped gift boxes, and the purse one is, of course, absolutely wonderful. I will most likely not be using this for as much as I thought I'd use it for. However, I don't regret buying it."
Cricut Cartridges "The price was competetive, except that the certificate inside the cartridge which gives points for future "freebies" was missing. That was disappointing. I purchased two cartridges and should have received 100 points, and didn't."

I love my cricut machine " My passion for card-making naturally led to my desire to purchase a personal electronic cutting system. In reading various cardmaking magazines, I noticed there were only a few personal electronic cutting systems to choose from, but the choice was pretty obvious for me.
After watching the Cricut informercial ([..] I became intrigued. The Cricut system is made by Provocraft ([...]). I did searches on Ebay ([...] and Craigslist ([...]) in hopes of finding a good deal. At the time, the resale price on these sites was so close to the price offered at WalMart ([...], that it didnft make sense to try to buy it used when I could have a new one and the ability to conveniently return it if there was a problem. I also liked that WalMart and Michaels ([...] carried other Provocraft products such as cartridges, mats, pens and a toolkit. There also was a wide variety of cartridges I could select from both WalMart, Michaels and Ebay. Each cartridge contains a unique set of images or fonts. Some of the cartridges include: Animal Kingdom (animals); Mickey Mouse (Disney), Christmas Cheer (Seasonal), and much more. Only once did I pay a ridiculous amount for a cartridge ($99 for Paperdolls). At the time, it was very new, widely popular and hard to get. Now, as a rule, I only purchase cartridges when they are on sale. Michaels often has a sale where these cartridges are only $35 - $40. If I bring a Michaels ad to WalMart, any cashier can perform a price match. WalMart is great about price matching cricut cartridges, dvds, etc.
There are 3 versions of the Cricut cutting system:
1. Cricut (original)
2. Cricut Expressions
3. Cricut Create (Sold Exclusively at Michaels)
purchased the first model and loved it right away. A few months later, I then sold my system on craigslist and ordered their largest system, the Cricut Expressions from WalMart. This model is capable of cutting larger sizes up to 12 x 24, the standard scrapbook size sheet is 12" x 12". The third model, the Cricut Create, is an improvement on the first small model and sold exclusively at Michaels. The other great features of this cutting system is the ability to draw. You can replace the cutting blade with Cricut pens to draw, instead of cut, images. You can also purchase Cricut Vinyl adhesive sheets to cut images for decorating the interior of your home. There is also the ability to connect your Cricut machine to your computer via a USB cable. You can then use the Cricut Design Studio software to prearrange the layout of your images before cutting. The Cricut Design Studio software also allows you to view the images of all Cricut cartridges, but you can not cut with them unless you own the cartridge. Another option is to use a third party software, such as Sure Cuts A Lot to cut from your existing fonts or to create your own images to cut. As cute as the cut-outs are, when you get them on your layout, they kind of look out of place. I would personally stick to buying 3-D embellishments or stickers, rather than buying this cartridge thinking you could do wonders with it. Spend your money on the font cartridges. They are more practical in your scrapbooking."

Best Cartridge I've Used Thus Far! "I LOVE this cartridge!!!! You can do so, so, so much with it! My friend actually owns it, but she loaned it to me this past week. My kids wouldn't let me get my own scrapping done. One had me print out a princess scene plus a ballerina and the other child made "Super Flower Man" complete with a super-hero-mobile and an entire dinosaur set complete with a volcano. I was able (after they went to bed at night) to get a set of pirate motif pieces ready for a layout of their birthday party last year . . . ship, girl & boy pirates, jolly rogers, treasure chests . . . totally awesome!
The one thing that I will say about it is that you must use the manual with this cartridge and follow it very closely or you'll end up cutting out the wrong piece. It's not difficult, it's just that you have to be very sure which buttons are pushed to get the piece you want. This cartridge uses a layering technique to create the different characters.
You will not regret purchasing this cartridge if you do a lot of cardmaking or scrapbooking!"

The most useful cartridge " I own! ADORE this cartridge. I use this thing for more designs than any other cartridge I own, not that I own that many. It is SO versatile, and this is coming from a mom with two boys and NO girls. I use it for my own scrapbook (kind of a physical journal I'm putting together about me, and the only place I really can use my girlie supplies!) AND for our family scrapbook. There are a few birds, pretty flowers, and awesome borders, accents... I mean, I could go on. I LOVE the versatile shapes, including scalloped circles, ovals, squares, rectangles... There's a branch with flowers that I absolutely love... I simply don't have enough time to sit and write all of the things I love about this cartridge! The alphabet does have a dreamy quality to it, but it also has a decidedly Western feel to it (cut it in brown), which is perfect for accenting pages for my family and my boys, too. It also has a fancy alphabet that is so incredibly beautiful, I use it to accent and label all of my supplies. All in all, if you're debating over this cartridge vs. another one, I'd say go for this one, hands down! I think Cricut may have lost themselves some business with this one because, seriously, I don't even care about buying more cartridges now that I have this one."

a time saver "This is the most handy machine ever. It really saves me lots of time not having to switch cartridges. I have 9 cartridges now and this holds four. From my understanding you can hook 3 together so run 18 at once. I am thinking of getting a second machine. I really love this one. It works great with the design studio. When you use three cartridges to make one item instead of having to change them over and over it just looks for them on the jukebox for you. The little storage container is great to. You can keep everything together instead of in all those little boxes. I also love the locking side tabs for the lid and storage container. They are kid proof and my 2 year old can't get them open."

Fits Cricut Personal " I can appreciate the frustration that the first poster felt when finding out that this lovely bag DOES NOT FIT THE Cricut Expression Machine 29-0300. In that regard, none of the the advertisements for the Cricut Bags, are clear enough. This is a great bag that covers and protects the Cricut - Personal Electronic Cutter. Without any cajoling, stuffing or manipulation, this Cricut Carrying Tote Bag 29-0111 will house the Cricut Personal Cutter with its power cord, a sticky-mat, a single cartridge (in it's original box) and the Cricut 29-0004 7-Piece Tool Kit for Cricut Cutting Machines. I carry a lot of stuff to crops. So, even if I planned to use only the Cricut for my layouts, I wouldn't consider keeping everything I needed for a crop in this bag -- paper, scraps, other-than-Cricut related stuff etc.. I don't see where they would fit well. Maybe I could practice focusing on one tool when going to crop? Hmmm... NOT!!! Since I prefer that my totes match, I plan to check out the Cricut Messenger Bag for toting paper etc. The super-soft texture of the Cricut Carrying Tote is mesmerizing (once you touch it you will want to touch it again) yet it appears to be durable. I find the color appealing -- I love that green! This bag was just what I needed for my new personal cutter. Happy Scrapping! Note: I located one website which said that this bag could hold 12 cartridges and key pads -- obviously without their cardboard cases.
